On Reconnection
I’m posting my Monday rhyme a little early in honor of Mother’s Day and all who are missing their moms and loved ones on this day. Sending love.
Before Long
A few minutes before midnight
I’m up writing some lines
I tap into the cosmos
Ask my mom to send a sign-
She reminds me of a bird today
That stopped by for some bread
And hung out with us for a while
Even after she’d been fed-
And I thought about this little bird
How she felt like an old friend
Assuring me we reconnect
When it’s our time to transcend~
